Sculpting for Animators: Rodney Allen 2009 Art Institute of Atlanta

I have never tried my hand at Sculpture until I got into Rodney Allen's class;  I am hooked.  Super Sculpey is a very unique polymer and works well for holding detail before and after baking.  I found that kneading the Sculpey would help to resist cracking by working the air out of the polymer and that obtaining form is easiest by "petting" the tones with your fingers.  To smooth the skin (even though I went for the rough look on this guy) 70-90% Isopropyl Alcohol works like a charm alongside some cosmetic q-tips.

The Idea Here is that this guy is walking into some industrial complex and a sniper put a bullet through his head.  The moment I wanted to capture is right after the muscles start to react and when his body is actually starting to realize the magnitude of what has happened.
